Judging Criteria
After the Community Vote, a panel of judges, selected by Social Actions, will choose three winners, to be announced at NTEN's NTC Conference on April 28th 2009. Judges will score based on the following criteria:
Applications will be judged on Innovativeness, User-Experience, and Potential for Impact.
Innovativeness
- Does the application provide an innovative solution to helping people find, share, and/or take actions online?
- How innovative is the application's use of the Social Actions API?
User-Experience & Usability
- Is the application easy to use?
- Does it encourage the user to use it multiple times? (i.e. - Is it sticky?)
- Does the applicaiton help people find, share, and/or take action?
- How much value does the application deliver (i.e. does it offer targeted actions that are of high value to the user)?
Potential for Impact
- How many users is the application expected to engage?
- If the application is built for a particular platform or website (i.e. - Facebook, Twitter, Drupal), how popular and/or engaging is that platform or website?
- Does the application have a viable marketing strategy or distribution outlet.
- Is the application scaleable to enable growth- Does it scale to other platforms?
- Will the application inspire similar applications to be created?
