Support Local Farmers and Local EconomyI happen to be lucky enough to live in an area with abundant local farmers' markets. Supporting them achieves several things: 1)it supports the local economy, 2)it reduces all the bad things associated with long-distance food transportation miles, 3)it gets me out walking or biking on a sunny morning, 4)it puts me in contact with cool, local people in the community, 5)finally, of course, it puts fresh, local, yummy often-organic food on my table and in my belly. All around it is more sustainable and it is more fun than the grocery store!
