Let's get Joey to perform in Springfield, IL again!
Joey Page is an amazing singer and person, who has become a great friend to me. I first heard of and met him on September 4, 2008. This is when he opened up for Jordin Sparks and Jesse McCartney at the Prairie Capital Convention Center, here in Springfield. It was his first time ever in Springfield. He recently posted a bulletin saying to contact our local fairs to get him to perform at them in Summer '09. Well, anyone who lives here, knows that we are home to the Illinois State Fair. It's a huge deal. We have had manyyyy pop acts perform there. Jesse McCartney, Corbin Bleu, Christina Aguilera, Drake Bell, 98 degrees, Aaron Carter...just to name a few. So why not add Joey to that amazing list of performers? Not only that, but he told me that him and his dad want to come back to Springfield. They really liked all of the history here, and would like to come back to see all of it, but just don't know when they'd have the time to come back. This would be the perfect opportunity. So let's do this for Joey! He definitely deserves it. Not only is he a total sweetheart, but he can always make u laugh. He'd also be a great addition to the fair! He got sooo many new fans when he was here before, so can u imagine how many new fans he could get performing at the state fair?! Let's make this happen for him!
