We have had a rough summer as far as vet expenses go. We normally average $1500 to $2500 a month for routine veterinary treatment, but we were forced to spend a total of $12,193.85 (an average of $4000 a month) for vet care over the summer. Out of that amount, $6,208.44 was for "out of the ordinary" expenses such as... surgery to remove a growth within Brittany's ear canal that had kept her ear infected for months; emergency surgery to repair herniated intestines on Tango after he was attacked by a larger dog; Winnie's hospitalization for pneumonia and removal of cherry eye; Dugan's surgery to remove abscessed salivary glands; Frito's emergency care due to a spinal problem along with heartworm complications and evaluation by cardiologist; and Emma's heartworm complications after treatment. These types of things are not normally a problem, but to have six major incidents so close in time is very difficult. We are in desperate need of your help to recover these costs.

If a friend came to you and asked if you could "spare a dollar" for them, would you? We know that many people have been affected by the economy but if we could get 5,000 "Friends" to donate $1.00 each, these vet expenses would be nearly covered!
