I am a new member of the Student Movement for Real Change (SMRC) Board of Young Trustees. SMRC is investing a generation in global development. SMRC builds schools, libraries, sports fields, community centers and water and sanitation solutions in neglected regions of the world by empowering young people to take initiative in partnership with local youth.
As a Young Trustee, I am responsible for developing the strategic vision for the organization as well as selecting future communities where SMRC will continue investing in development. It is my goal to raise at least $500 by September 30, 2008. Of course, I hope to exceed that goal during this fundraising campaign.
